Rahua x Sincerely Sunday Candle Collection

When this collaboration first came across my radar, I knew immediately I wanted to be part of it. Rahua’s products are rooted in high-quality, clean ingredients that deliver real results while giving back to indigenous communities in the Amazon.

With Sincerely Sunday, everything I create is grounded in sustainability and mindful consumption. So merging clean beauty with conscious living just felt right.

Rather than simply making candles based on Rahua’s scents, we wanted the collaboration to incorporate our respective values -- creating something that felt truly like a blend of both brands:

• Clean ingredients: I used 100% pure coconut soy wax (no paraffin, phthalates, or parabens) paired with non-toxic fragrance and essential oils.
• Reusability: Instead of sourcing new jars, we upcycled jars Rahua already had for another product, giving them new life as candle vessels. This small detail perfectly aligns with our ethos of reusing and reducing waste whenever possible.

From the very beginning, my goal was to take Rahua’s existing formulas and transform them into candles that continue the self-care ritual beyond the bathroom. Each scent offers its own olfactory journey, whether energizing the spirit, unwinding the mind, or grounding the soul.

What’s also interesting (and I’m realizing this as I write this) is that these three scents couldn’t be a better depiction of my own personal scent journey. It might sound a little abstract, but here’s what I mean:

1. Abundance: what I would have burned as a teen: fresh, juicy, and vibrant (guava, hibiscus, grapefruit)
2. Gratitude: reminiscent of my early adult years: refreshing, calming, and stress-relieving (eucalyptus, lavender, mint)
3. Presence: the kind of scent I burn now: rich, woody, and grounding (Notes: palo santo, vanilla, and amber)

In a way, this collaboration tells a little story of my own evolution through scent.

Now that you know the backstory and how our values shaped the collaboration, let’s get to the fun part -- the candles themselves!

1. Presence

Inspired by Rahua’s Classic formula, this candle blends palo santo, vanilla, and amber. It’s rich, woody, and grounding -- perfect for moments when you want to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with yourself.

2. Abundance

Based on Rahua’s Enchanted Island formula, this scent bursts with guava, hibiscus, and grapefruit. Bright, fresh, and juicy, it’s a mood booster that instantly uplifts your space and energy -- a little slice of summer for any day.

3. Gratitude

Inspired by Rahua’s Voluminous formula, this candle features eucalyptus, lavender, and mint. Clean, relaxing, and spa-like, it’s ideal for unwinding after a long day and letting the soothing notes wash over you.

It’s been a whirlwind month:

• September: the conversation started and the collab was confirmed
• Early October: we ideated on scents
• Mid October: went into production
• Early November: delivered the final product

What started as a simple idea became a trio of three custom scents, embedded in Rahua’s 2025 holiday offerings.

I put a lot of time and energy into this collection, and my hope is that when people light these candles, they feel calm, grounded, uplifted, and serene -- an extension of the Rahua experience from haircare to full self-care.

I really couldn’t be happier with how things turned out. The scents are all amazing, and I feel so lucky to have collaborated with a brand whose values so seamlessly align with ours.

This collaboration is about extending haircare into a full self-care ritual. From the clean, high-quality ingredients to the upcycled jars and the scents themselves, every detail was designed to feel thoughtful, intentional, and rooted in wellness.
