How to Make a Deconstructed Candle

STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE TO MAKING YOUR OWN CANDLE
The beauty of reusing vessels is the creative freedom to choose one that matches your taste and decor. As a general rule, use a vessel that is :
1. Approximately 3" Wide.
2. Can withstand heat, won't leak, crack, or catch fire.
Ideal Vessels:
• Thick Glass
• Glazed Ceramic
• Sealed Concrete
• Metal Tins
1. Place the wick sticker on the bottom of the wick and center in the vessel.
2. Press down firmly to ensure the wick does not come loose.
3. Thread the wick through the wooden wick holder to secure it in place
Melting the wax is quick and simple, whether you use a microwave or stovetop. Both methods take just a few minutes and ensure your wax is ready to pour with ease!
Microwave
1. Place the pouch upright for two minutes or until wax has fully melted
2. If the wax has not fully liquified, continue to microwave in 10-15 second increments.
Note: this method takes about 2 minutes
Stovetop
1. Place the bag in a pot of boiling water (2-3 inches)
2. Remove once all wax has fully melted
Note: this method takes about 8 minutes
1. Once the bag is cool to touch, pour the liquid wax in your vessel.
2. Let it cool for approximately 3 hours.
3. Trim wick to 1/4” and enjoy!
Note: when pouring, be sure to avoid skin contact as the wax will be hot.
