Candles bring warmth and ambiance to any space, but their use comes with a hidden cost — waste. For years, candle users have unknowingly contributed to a larger environmental issue. Every time a candle burns down, its vessel, often a beautifully designed glass or jar, is tossed in the trash, destined to sit in a landfill for centuries. This throwaway culture has only grown over time, and now most candle containers are never reused or recycled.

It's estimated that over 300 million glass candle jars end up in landfills annually in the U.S. alone.

Unfortunately, these vessels are not biodegradable and may take hundreds, if not thousands, of years to decompose, adding unnecessary waste to our already overwhelmed environment. Additionally, not only are we filling landfills, but we’re also contributing to the emissions and energy used to produce new jars to replace those that have been discarded.
